Jewelry Making!

This is one of my favorite parts of customizing! You can buy eye pins and straight pins at just about any craft store. They are easy to bend with needlenose pliers so don't confuse them with regular straight stick pins! You find them in the jewelry supply section. I insert the eye pins into the ear first making sure they are about the same height on each side of the dolls head. Then add beads of your choice onto the straight pin and using small needlenose pliers, bend them around so they will hang on the eyepin. I then hang them on the eyepin and bend to almost close it and trim the excess wire off with wire cutters. Then I bend them closed and the earring is complete! Do the same for the other earring making it the same length. It's really easy to do and makes a beautiful pair of dangle earrings. You could just use a straight pin with a bead on it to make stud earrings also. Some people are worried about green ear which is understandable so you can dip the earring posts in superglue to coat them or paint them with clear fingernail polish. I don't know if this works or not because I do not do it but I haven't had any trouble with green ear yet! To make a necklace, I simply use two strands of thick thread and string the beads on and tie them in about 4 knots to close. I try to use a color of thread which will complement the beads I am using. And there you have it!

I hope to add more info soon and I hope all this made sense!
